St. Peter’s Parishioner to be Part of Community of St. Anselm at Lambeth Palace

St. Peter’s parishioner Becca Walton has been selected to be one of 16 resident members of the Community of St. Anselm, a monastic community founded by Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby. The Community, based at Lambeth Palace, represents a call to intentional community formation through prayer and reconciliation, and includes people from all over the world. Learn more about the Community here.

Becca will spend the year in London praying, studying theology, and serving in communities in need in the city. She’s particularly excited to continue work in prison ministry that she began at St. Peter’s as part of our Parchman Ministry.

All Community members are asked to help raise funds to cover the cost of their residency and travel. St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Oxford, Mississippi has established a fund to support Becca’s ministry in the Community of St. Anselm.

You are invited to a reception for Becca on Sunday, August 5 at 10:00 a.m.in the St. Peter’s Parish Hall. If you wish to make a gift of financial support, you can click the below image to give online, or mail or drop by to the church office at 113 S. 9th Street, Oxford, Mississippi 38655.
